Bacillus firmus is a species of bacteria within the genus Bacillus. Some strains of this species are very alkaline-tolerant and may grow in environments with pH as high as 11. It is a naturally-occurring ematopathogenic soil bacteria that infects and kills both larvae and adult stage of many plant pathogenic nematodes like Meloidogyne spp, Hetrodera spp, Helicotylenchus spp, Hoplolaimus spp.

Also used as a Bio-Nematicide.
